| Diego Sanchez's Face Becomes A Concern For Paramore's Hayley Williams -by Kyle Anderson
With playoff implications hanging in the balance in the NFL, hot stove moves happening all over baseball and the grand spectacle of the Army/Navy football game, it was an excellent weekend for sports. But anybody who caught UFC 107 on pay-per-view on Saturday night (December 12) was treated to the best set of performances of the weekend. The show was excellent from top to bottom (save for the typically dull Jon Fitch fight), and featured impressive performances from Frank Mir (who tapped out fellow heavyweight Cheick Kongo in just over a minute), Kenny Florian (who made Clay Guida bleed like a stuck pig before choking him out) and B.J. Penn, who put up a good argument for himself as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world. He took a skilled wrestler and striker in Diego Sanchez and made him completely impotent. Penn beat on him solidly for four rounds, and the fight was finally stopped because of the gash in Sanchez's head. Sanchez was so cut up that it looked like he had just fought Freddy Krueger, not a jiu-jitsu specialist from Hawaii.

Though Paramore are currently on the road in Europe, that didn't stop frontwoman Hayley Williams — a huge UFC fan in her own right — from catching the show. "Watching the fights online," Williams tweeted from somewhere between Dublin and Cardiff. "This is fun." She too was impressed by the clinic that Penn put on against Sanchez. "I am not believing this fight right now!" she tweeted later. When it was finally called off and Penn was declared the winner (and still UFC Lightweight Champion), Williams wrote, "Gnarly cut on Diego's forehead. Overall, I woulda liked to have seen a lot more action but let's be honest ... I couldn't have done it."
During the show, Williams also tweeted to a pal back in Nashville and promised the idea of UFC parties upon her band's return. She only has to wait a few more days, as the final date of Paramore's European tour is this Friday, December 18. They'll have a handful of weeks off until they play some shows in Japan at the beginning of February, which gives her plenty of opportunity to catch some top-shelf pugilism: UFC 108 takes place on January 2 (featuring "Sugar" Rashad Evans squaring off against Thiago Silva) and UFC 109 goes down on February 6 (headlined by a massive match-up between Randy "The Natural" Couture and Mark "The Hammer" Coleman).

| I know its a long shot, but has anyone got any spare tickets for the Manchester show on Wednesday?
Two friends of mine have been scammed out of some on eBay, and I'd love for them to be able to go, as an early christmas present from me :)
Any help you can give would be great, if you cant, no worries! | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |

I knwo it's unlikely but i hope they do another small show like that ha it was awesome Did anyone rip the whole of it? I found loads of links but they all seem to be invalid now :(
If there is none of the whole set then just the miracle outro would do me just fine as i can't seem to find a download for that anywhere either
I'd really appreciate it if someone knew where i could get some of the audio :) Thanks XX

| | So I FINALLY got my Wembley Arena tickets!! I was super excited when I got them. I was just wondering, is there going to be a meet and greet in wembley? One that you don't have to get special tickets for (a couple of my friends said there might be so I'm just checking). It's great to hear from the people that went to the other concerts around the UK! It makes me so much more excited for my own!! :) | comments: 9 comments or Leave a comment |

| I just wanted to say how amazing the Birmingham gig was on friday All the support acts were amazing and of course Paramore were outstanding one of my highlights had to be when they played "Turn It Off" as I was not expecting it. It was also cool when the drummer of "Paper Route" stage dived and Zac came out and played drums for them. But I was wondering does any body know of any really good quality videos of any of the songs from the show and what the setlist. Thanks... | comments: 2 comments or Leave a comment |

| Hello there lovely PBLJC! Just wanted to say, I love you.
I'm in such a jolly mood. Do you ever get that feeling, where you had a shitty day, but you go home, start listening to a good band, and then just feel like everything is going to be okay?
Ahh it's so amazing. I've got my Jack Johnson Pandora streaming, and I'm just talking. There's nothing dramatic, nothing stupid and pointless, just talking about life. And I know, that no matter what happens, someone will be smiling in the end. And it just doesn't matter.
What's your favorite relaxation music? I'm just soo happy right now. I want you guys to be too!! | comments: 23 comments or Leave a comment |

Hi, Folks- A while back I asked for help with editing some audio files I had made at Paramore's performance in Philly. It's been a while, and I haven't gotten any finished audio from the folks who were working on the files (but I'm still hoping they will get to it in time). Anyway, I some limited editing on the recording I made of the intro, just to see if you think the audio is improved enough to go forward with editing the whole show. One plus has been the reduction in clipping with heavy bass passages. See what you think, and let me know. If anyone here would like to work on the files (I taped them all with a handheld H2 recorder), I can give you the d/l link if you'd like. Thanks, Toddd | comments: 13 comments or Leave a comment |
| I hadn't seen this posted and came across it today. It came out October 20 of this year. Sounds a lot better than the first one, in my opinion. Every song off of BNE except Misguided Ghosts.

| Tweet from Ticket Direct: @TicketDirect_ A further allocation Paramore tix will be available Fri 18th Dec at 9AM. Paramore is moving to a new venue.
I assume they're talking about Auckland, Christchurch hasn't sold out yet. I bet they're moving to the Vector Arena. They're playing Westpac in Christchurch which holds 9000, so it would make sense for them to play Vector which holds 12000. | comments: 5 comments or Leave a comment |

| Hey guys, (it's me the annoying kid with his blog) I have this blog where I interview different bands. I actually just put up a band that I think you guys would like. The band is called She Screams Remedy. I'm sure most of you know who this band is already. For those of you who don't SSR is a female fronted band from Cali.
Please take a look at the blog, and if you like the interviews please keep checking back in. You guys helped me reach over 1,000 views my LJ one, now I moved to wordpress and the view count is a little pathetic haha Thanks guys!

| Is anyone looking for a copy of the Ignorance 7" picture disc record?
I've got one I'm willing to sell. It's getting much more difficult to find, since Hot Topic is sold out on their webstore and the FBR store has no more. It's also getting harder to find in the Hot Topic stores themselves (at least the ones I go to).

I'll take offers on it, just please send them to heywoodhead@yahoo.com, and I'll let you know where you stand. Please include a bit for shipping, especially if you are outside the US. | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |
| So I was at the Birmingham gig on Friday at the NIA, which was a pretty amazing gig. I was psyched for the supports, who definitely delivered, but the main highlight, of course, was Paramore. Great night.
I was stood behind the sound deck in the middle of the arena (I'm 5'3", so needed somewhere where it was possible for me to see!) which turned out to be a pretty great place to stand. Towards the end of Paper Route's set, Josh turned up at the sound deck with his girlfriend, but no one else around noticed him!! I totally fangirled, but was pretty subtle about it if I do say so myself...haha. He looked like he was having a good time. It's pretty cool having the writer of so many of your favourite songs and music that you love so close, could have literally reached out and hugged him. So yeah, I had a pretty amazing night.
Anyone else go to the Birmingham gig? How was it for you guys? | comments: 7 comments or Leave a comment |
| hey guys
i have one standing manchester ticket for the gig on the 16th. £30 and i'll meet you with it on the day.
it'll go to the first person to get back to me from the sites i've posted this on.
thanks. | comments: Leave a comment |
| Okay so yesterday was the best day of my life. It was my first time ever seeing Paramore in concert and it ruled. I got the train up to Dublin at around 3-ish and headed down to the o2 at about 4.45. We didn't need to join the line because we had meet and greets which started at 5.15. We went up to the balcony and waited for Paramore to come out. We got to hear Paper Route soundcheck while we were waiting, which was awesome! The security dudes told us that we were going to have to join the line after the M&G, and we were so disappointed, because we did not want to join the thousands of people outside in the cold and not get a good place inside. But then they gave us pit passes which was so awesome! The pit was huuuge! I was so nervous to talk to Paramore but they were so nice and it was so much fun! Jeremy told us to "keep our eyes open for something at the end"! I got to the second row, which added to the awesomeness! I was in the middle of where Hayley and Josh stand. Pushing was kind of crazy, but worth it. We waited for about an hour and a half until Now, Now Every Children came on. I had heard a few of their songs before, and to be honest, I didn't realy like them. But seeing them live totally changed that! They were so good. I think everyone loved them. I already loved Paper Route, and their set was amazing. Too short though! I'm definately seeing them again when they come back! Zac played drums on one of the songs, and he was amazing. You Me At Six came out and everybody went nuts! A circle pit got started and everybody was jumping around. It was fun, and Josh had some sweet mic flips going on! And then.. Paramore came on. They rocked the house down. Literally. They were kinda freaked by the size of the venue and the giant video screens of themselves on either side of them, especially Josh! Lol he kept glancing over at them anxiously. I love that guy. Every song was awesome! The Pressure Flip was an awesome success! And when they came back out for the encore, they were all wearing Ireland jerseys and kicked signed footballs into the crowd! Jeremy has one hell of a kick, btw. I think it nearly reached the seating balcony! The encore was so good. The whole night was so good. I saw that dude from RTE who tells me when the Simpsons is starting!! Bahaha
in conclusion... Best. Concert. Ever! ( click for pictures ) | comments: 27 comments or Leave a comment |
| I was at the Birmingham NIA show on Friday & I got given 6 extra badges when I was leaving which I don't need/want. So I was wondering if there was anyone who went to the gig (or even who didn't) who didn't get a badge & wants one? All I ask is for £1 (paypal preferred) to cover the postage/envelope cost. I only have 6, so it's first come first serve. Either comment here or email me at blackmagickxx@hotmail.co.uk :].
EDIT: all gone!
The badges read "paramore birmingham nia 11/12/09". They're basically just a copy of the Islington badges.

| Hello everyone.
Just wondering who was going to the Melbourne gig alone? Because so far I am :(
Also; What's your "sneaking into the mosh" stories? Paramore or not. I am going Green day on Tuesday at Rod Laver Arena and my friend and I have crappy seats and we want to try and get into the mosh (as you do lol).
Thanks in advance. | comments: 8 comments or Leave a comment |
| I'm just back from the Dublin show so i thought i'd make a quick post. The entire night was brilliant! The queuing... mixed feelings! Coincidentally met value_of_truth and his friends who were so awesome (thanks for being such good company for those ridiculous 7 hours or so!) . The queuing was terrible. Horribly organised altogether! But I got to meet Paper Route in the queue so i'm not complaining anymore :-) They were so amazing and sweet and gave me a mix cd (JT called it a "secret EP" of rare paper route songs or something). Anyway, they cheered me up a little.
Onto the actual show... We were about 8 people from the front which wasn't too bad at all considering there was easily 12000 there. The pushing was awful. NNEC were okay. I wasn't fussed about their CD to be honest so I didn't find the show spectacular but it was a nice opener. Paper Route were amazing. Their set was far too short in my opinion! You Me At 6 were terrible but everyone else seemed to love them so i'll say no more on the subject.
Paramore were fantastic. I haven't been on this in a while so I don't know how long they've been playing the new intro but it's amazing! I didn't even know they had a new one. It was nice and heavy and Hayley sounded fantastic in it. 4 songs from the end, they disappeared and came out in full irish footie gear... it was so funny! They had their names printed on the back and all and kicked signed footballs into the crowd (one of which hit someone in the face if i recall correctly... ha) All-in-all they played (in no particular order): Decode I Caught Myself Pressure Emergency Careful Ignorance Brick by Boring Brick Turn It Off Looking Up Misguided Ghosts The Only Exception (this was particularly wonderful) Where The Lines Overlap Misery Business Crushcrushcrush That's What You Get
Also... For anyone else who absolutely loved Paper Route's set, I was talking to them after the show and rumour has it they'll be returning for their own headlining tour in Summer 2010! PS- For those of you curious, yes Hayley's hair is still blonde. | comments: 41 comments or Leave a comment |
